Reviews and Ratings
I had a lovely stay at the hotel with a beautiful view over Lake Rotorua. The rooms had a nice view of the lake and were perfect for my family. The check-in process was smooth. However, it would have been more convenient if the hotel had acknowledged the children in our booking by providing an extra bed for them. The location was excellent, allowing easy access to the lake, market, and shops, but unfortunately, there was no hot water in the shower. The dining experience offered a good variety of options, but the hot food chef seemed a bit too aggressive. Overall, the hotel is good value for the money.
The hotel offers ok rooms, with a view of the ventilation and garbage yard, but the location is perfect near the Government Gardens and the lake. The service was inconsistent, and the dining experience was outstanding. However, some facilities need improvement.
The hotel has spacious rooms with 2 queen beds, allowing a late check-out until 4.15 pm, but the décor is quite dated. The service was friendly and accommodating, but there were some delays in delivering requested towels. The location is fabulous, particularly with a lake view, offering great dining options nearby. The dining experience was disappointing with limited menu choices, and the pricing was on the higher side. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
The hotel rooms were small and down a long corridor with carpets that were long due for a clean, but my room was very large with 2 king-size beds and plenty of car parking. The location is excellent, across the road from Eat Street bars and restaurants and close to the Lake for walks and local shops. The dining experience was good, with marvellous Bircher, though a bit crowded during breakfast on X'mas day. The facilities were pleasant, and the hotel staff were friendly, pity about the weather.
I stayed at Novotel Rotorua, where the rooms, although spacious and comfortable, are starting to show their age compared to the modern reception area. The staff were very nice and accommodating throughout my stay. The location was excellent, close to the city center and lakefront. The dining experience, however, fell short of expectations with limited options. Overall, a comfortable stay with a few minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers a central location to shops and attractions, with comfortable facilities and friendly staff. However, the rooms show signs of wear and tear, and the check-in process can be slow at times.
The hotel is situated in a central location, close to the main hub of restaurants and just a short walk from the lake and park. The rooms, while clean, could use some updating, especially the bathroom. Service was a bit hit-and-miss with some staff appearing uninterested, but the welcome drink was a nice touch. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with limited food options at times. Overall, a convenient stay with both positive and negative points.
I stayed at the hotel, and it was a great experience overall. The location was fantastic with easy access to Eat Street and the Government Gardens. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was polite and helpful. However, the dining options were a bit limited, and I had to keep asking for food. The facilities were satisfactory, offering everything needed for a pleasant stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. While the rooms looked dated, they provided comfort, and the convenience of having a great eatery next door was a plus. The hotel didn't quite match the photos, but it was generally quiet. The service was friendly and professional, despite a minor issue with double charging that was quickly rectified. The location was pretty perfect for exploring Rotorua and the surrounding area, although the maintenance schedule of the pools could be a bit inconvenient. Dining options were reasonable, with some minor chaos during peak times. Overall, it was an average experience with highs and lows.
